Professor Ernst Fuchs
Ernst Fuchs (born 1930 in Vienna) was regarded to as "Wunderkind" of fine arts. His extensive oeuvre consists of more than 6.000 works, of which many have been created as paintings and drawings - from miniatures to monumental wall-sized formats - as well as original prints. His fame also rests on imposing sculptures, enormous stage sets, prose, musical compositions, architectural designs and philosophical texts.
In 2005, Ernst Fuchs commissioned the gallerist Jan Menssen to publish exclusively his outstanding picture cycle "DIONYSOS" - four particularly beautiful works with a world edition of 250 signed and numbered prints, crowning and at the same time completing the prints-oeuvre of the artist.
Ernst Fuchs died November 9th, 2015 in Vienna.
